Easter Joy

Happy Easter!!

As I grow older, I love this holiday more and more. 

While the true meaning of Easter is one of sacred and utmost importance to me, we shall first visit the 'fluff' side of Easter...aka Jackson at the Easter Egg Hunt!

He wasn't quite sure what to do...we actually hid five or six eggs and put them right in front of him to ensure he got a few eggs. Eventually he caught on. 

If Trent and I look pale and sickly and like we're about to throw up in these pictures...it's because we were. I think we got food poisoning. After the egg hunt we went home and were so sick the ENTIRE day. We couldn't keep anything down and each threw up about 10 times. We're feeling better now...but the wonderful Easter dinner I had planned for today got switched to toast and apple sauce because that's all our poor little stomachs could handle :(

But at least Jackson was still cute!

And even though we were so sick, that didn't stop the Easter Bunny from visiting us!!

That sneaky Easter Bunny left us lots of goodies...a golf set, backpack, and giant bunny for Jackson, pearl necklace for me, and Superman shirt for Trent!

And he even left his footprints!

Unfortunately the only picture I got of Jackson not crying while wearing his Bunny Ears turned out fuzzy. Figures. 

Now for the sacred part...

I am so grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that he died, and lived, for me and I am so grateful for his sacrifice. To me, the beauty of Easter is that He lives and we can live again with Him.

I love my Savior Jesus Christ, and on this Holiday where we celebrate His resurrection, I know He lives!
